License End User Licence Agreement
These are the terms for using Capture Core (the "Software"). By installing or using it, you agree to what follows.
The short version
- The free edition is for personal, private use only.
- A Pro licence is required if you use it for work.
- The free edition never expires, and it adds no watermark to your images.
- These are licence terms. Nothing in the free edition is crippled, and nothing technically blocks use at work.
1. Intellectual property
Copyright in the Software belongs to Pifto Works (Office PFT). This agreement grants you the right to use the Software. It does not transfer copyright.
2. What you may use it for (free edition and Pro)
The free edition is for personal, private use only.
Use for work requires a Pro licence. Use for work includes all of the following.
- Use within a company or organisation, whether for profit or not
- Use by a sole proprietor or a freelancer in the course of their business
- Using what you produce with the Software as something you sell, or as a deliverable for work you were commissioned to do
One Pro licence activates up to three devices.
This section states licence terms. The free edition contains nothing that technically prevents use at work, and none of its features have been reduced. For what the free edition includes, see the product page.
3. What is not permitted
The following are prohibited.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Software
- Redistributing, lending, transferring, or renting the Software
- Circumventing licence activation, or attempting to do so
- Any use beyond what section 2 permits
4. Disclaimer
Pifto Works accepts no liability for any damage arising from use of the Software.
5. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. If they do, this page is updated and the date at the foot of it is revised.
6. Contact
For questions about these terms, or to discuss use beyond what section 2 permits (a large deployment, for example), please use the contact form. The form is in Japanese, but you are welcome to write in English.
7. Language
The Japanese text is the binding original. This page is a translation provided for convenience. Where the two differ, the Japanese version governs.
